VETERINARIANS
Corrie Barker, DVM, DACVIM (SAIM)
Dr. Barker received her veterinary degree from the University of Georgia College of Veterinary Medicine. Her post-graduate education continued at the College of Veterinary Medicine with an internship and residency in small animal internal medicine.

She received her board certification by the American College of Veterinary Internal Medicine in 2003. Dr. Barker worked at a small animal specialty practice for 4 years before joining Dr. Jacobs (a veterinary cardiologist) and taking over ownership of Woodlands Veterinary Referral.

Dr. Barker has a special interest in cardiology and oncology.
Kirstin Mix, DVM, DACVIM (SAIM)
We are very excited that Dr. Kirstin Mix joined Woodlands in 2019. Dr. Mix received her undergraduate degree in Biology from Emory University and graduated from the University of Georgia College of Veterinary Medicine. She completed a one year rotating internship. She entered into small animal general practice before deciding to pursue a residency in small animal medicine at Gulf Coast Veterinary Specialists in Houston, Texas.

Dr. Mix became board certified by the American College of Veterinary Internal Medicine in 2006. She has worked in Greensboro and Winston Salem, North Carolina and Atlanta and Columbus, GA.
Dr. Mix has a special interest in endocrinology and gastroenterology.
